Hier kun je discussieren over Palestine solidarity photo in front of Vrankrijk.
Last week we took this picture in front of the Vrankrijk, to give expression to our sadness and anger in the face of the continued violent oppression of the Palestinian people by the Israeli state. The occupation must end, the blockade of Gaza has to be lifted, refugees have the right to return. PALESTINE WILL BE FREE - Solidarity from Amsterdam!

"Occupation, curfew, settlements, closed military zone, administrative detention, siege, preventive strike, terrorist infrastructure, transfer. Their WAR destroys language. Speaks genocide with the words of a quiet technician.

Occupation means that you cannot trust the OPEN SKY, or any open street near to the gates of snipers tower. It means that you cannot trust the future or have faith that the past will always be there.

Occupation means you live out your live under military rule, and the constant threat of death, a quick death from a snipers bullet or a rocket attack from an M16.

A crushing, suffocating death, a slow bleeding death in an ambulance stopped for hours at a checkpoint. A dark death, at a torture table in an Israeli prison: just a random arbitrary death.

A cold calculated death: from a curable disease. A thousand small deaths while you watch your family dying around you.

Occupation means that every day you die, and the world watches in silence. As if your death was nothing, as if you were a stone falling in the earth, water falling over water.

And if you face all of this death and indifference and keep your humanity, and your love and your dignity and YOU refuse to surrender to their terror, then you know something of the courage that is Palestine."

They betray a lot of other autonom people of western europe with lies till we are weak to fight!

Jesus man, when is all the people hating Vrankrijk going to stop? You probably hate it because of the thing that happened years ago, and you're not in any sense aware of the Vrankrijk as it is today. You are quite the weak internet warrior, I assume. Anyways... Clearly, this picture has been taken with the Vrankrijk in the background because it was a cool background and some of the people involved might have a good connection to the Vrankrijk (maybe they feel supported by the queer community, maybe they are happy in the way Vrankrijk shows solidarity through banners and benefits). The post says nowhere that these are the inhabitants of the Vrankrijk or people running the bar. Please just keep your shitty opinion to yourself, it isn't getting you anywhere.
On a sidenote, wow, indymedia really turned into an open sewer again, with all the PL drama and here the old-fashioned Vrankrijk-bashing. brings back memories.
