Aanstaande vrijdag zal er een lawaaiprotest plaats vinden bij de Russische ambassade in Den Haag uit solidariteit met Pussy Riot.
Aanstaande vrijdag zal er een lawaaiprotest plaats vinden bij de Russische ambassade in Den Haag uit solidariteit met Pussy Riot.
Op 21 februari 2012 hield Pussy Riot, een feministisch punkcollectief uit Rusland, een actie in de grootste kerk van Moskou tegen Poetin en zijn politieke beleid. Compleet in punkstijl met bivakmutsen en kleurrijke kleding zongen zij het nummer ‘Maagd Maria, verlos ons van Poetin’. Het nummer roept Maria op om feminist te worden en premier Poetin te bannen. Tevens heeft het numm
er een kritiek op meerdere leiders van de Russische Orthodoxe Kerk die Poetins patriarchale beleid steunen. Een werkelijke scheiding tussen Kerk en Staat in Rusland lijkt nog zeer ver weg.
Afgelopen vrijdag (17-08-2012) werden 3 leden van Pussy Riot veroordeeld tot een 2 jaar in een strafkamp omdat zij zich schuldig hebben gemaakt aan ‘hooliganisme’. Het is absurd dat mensen vanwege kritiek op kerk en staat wordt opgepakt laat staan veroordeeld.Daarom zullen we aanstaande vrijdag (24-08-2012) om een lawaaiprotest houden voor de deur van de Russische ambassade. Solidariteit met het internationale feministische verzet! Tegen kerk, staat en kapitaal! Vrijheid voor Pussy Riot!

Ik denk niet dat het in Nederland toegestaan wordt. Er zit trouwens meer achter: een poging de gehele Russische samenleving ontwrichten. 65% van de inwoners in de Russische Federatie staat achter Poetin.

The US State Department-backed so-called "punk band" going by the name of "Pussy Riot," stormed into a Moscow church, defaming the Russian government while mocking the beliefs of churchgoers with vulgarity and disruptive behavior. Marketed as an act of "freedom of expression" by the Western media and the West's collection of foreign ministries, it was in reality what would be called both a hate-crime and disorderly conduct in the West. Furthermore, in the West, such an act would come with it steep fines and lengthy jail sentences.
In fact, similar cases have played out in the West - minus the feigned indignation over the perceived violation of free speech of alleged bigots, racists, and hooligans that have preceded "Pussy Riot." In many cases, the West has actively pursued not only people harassing others and creating public disturbances, but also those distributing material to like minded people who's beliefs are simply perceived as "socially harmful."
