Op zondag 6 mei 2012 organiseert het No Border Netwerk Nederland een lawaaidemonstratie langs verschillende detentiecentra in de Randstad.
De Nederlandse overheid heeft ondanks vele protesten uit zowel het binnenland als het buitenland nog steeds het onzinnige idee dat vluchtelingen opgesloten moeten worden. Vanaf het moment dat migranten in ons land aankomen lopen zij een grote kans dat zij opgesloten worden in zogenaamde vreemdelingendetentiecentra; dit geldt ook nog steeds voor gezinnen en kinderen.

Bovendien vindt die opsluiting plaats onder slechte omstandigheden: minimale toegang tot medische en juridische hulp, agressieve bewaking, doorlopende intimidatie en manipulatie om medewerking aan terugkeer af te dwingen, zonder enig uitzicht op de duur van de detentieperiode.

In de afgelopen jaren zijn er al verschillende lawaaidemonstraties georganiseerd bij dit mensonterende sluitstuk van het Nederlandse migratiebeleid. Deze demonstraties zijn enerzijds bedoeld om aandacht te vestigen op het bestaan van deze gevangenissen van de uitzetindustrie en anderzijds willen de demonstranten hun steun betuigen met de mensen die daar opgesloten zitten.

Op zondag 6 mei 2012 gaan we een lawaaibustour organiseren langs drie detentiecentra in Nederland. Als eerste zullen we het detentiecentrum Kamp Zeist in de bossen van Soesterberg, langs de A28 aandoen.
Nadat we de mensen binnen een “hart onder de riem hebben gestoken” zullen we in de bus onze route vervolgen naar de Zaanse Schande: de detentieboten in Zaandam, waar vaker lawaaidemonstraties plaatsvinden. We willen de tour eindigen bij het centrum Schiphol-Oost, waar in oktober 2005 tijdens een brand elf mensen in hun cellen omkwamen, en in februari 2009 een sit-in protest van gevangenen met veel geweld werd neergeslagen.
Tijdens de bustour zal er genoeg tijd zijn om te discussiëren over vervolgplannen voor de strijd tegen het racistische migratiebeleid van Nederland en de EU.

In Amsterdam kun je om 11.00 uur opstappen aan station Sloterdijk. In Utrecht kun je om 12.00 uur opstappen bij de Jaarbeurs-ingang van het Centraal Station. Vervolgens beginnen we om 12.30 uur met lawaai maken bij Kamp Zeist.

Noise demo tour to three Dutch detention centers

On Sunday May 6th 2012 the Dutch No Border Network organizes noise demonstrations at several detention centers in the Randstad.
Despite many protests both from inside and outside the Netherlands the Dutch government still has the absurd idea that refugees need to be locked up. From the very moment that migrants arrive in our country they run the enormous risk of being locked up in one of the so called foreigners detention centers: this also still applies for families and children. In addition their incarceration takes place under bad circumstances: minimum access to medical and legal aid, aggressive guards, continuous intimidation and manipulation to coerce cooperation to their return, without any prospect concerning the duration of their detention.

In the past years many noise demonstrations have been organized at the gates of this dehumanizing tail piece of the Dutch migration policy. On one hand it is the goal of these demonstrations to call attention to the existence of these prisons of the deportation industry, and on the other hand it is the goal of the demonstrators to show their support to the people inside.

On Sunday May 6th 2012 we are going to organize a bus tour to three detention centers in the Netherlands. First off we shall go to the detention center Kamp Zeist in the woods of Soesterberg, along highway A28. After that we will get back on the bus and continue to the 'Zaanse Schande' (Shame of Zaanstad): the detention boats in Zaandam, where noise demonstrations take place regularly. We want to end the tour at the Schiphol Oost center, where in October 2005 eleven people died in their cells during a fire, and in February 2009 a sit in protest of prisoners was put down violently.

During the bus tour there will be plenty of time to discuss future plans for the struggle against the racist migration policy of the Netherlands and the EU.

In Amsterdam you can get on the bus at 11.00 hrs. at Sloterdijk train station. In Utrecht you can get on the bus at 12.00 hrs. at Central Station, near the Jaarbeurs entrance. We start the first demonstration at Kamp Zeist at 12.30 hrs.
