Angels without borders landed near the Detention Centre Zaandam

December 18th is International Migrants Day: the right moment for some rebel angels to migrate for a while from Heaven to one of the ugliest places on Earth: the parcing place in front of the Zaandam detention boats...
Around 12.00 the angels arrived. First thing was showing a big banner with a heavenly message: "We wish you a free 2012"
Next to it the angels introduced themselves:
"We are Angels without borders
We came from far to meet you
We have a message for powerfoooool people:
There are no borders in Heaven - there shouldn't be borders on Earth!"
Of course security was shocked to hear these bright lines; they requested to leave the parcing place immediately. But the angels were focussing on one of their songs:
"We wish you a Free Christmas
We wish you a Free Christmas
We wish you a Free Christmas and a Free-ee New Year
Oh, break down the borders,
Oh, break down the borders,
Oh, break down this prison and these fences oh dear
We won't go until you're Free-ee
We won't go until you're Free-ee

Then police arrived and they also requested to leave (one, two, three times) and then nothing happened - not even an ID-check. Which by the way shouldn't make sense at all because angels have great ideas (a world without borders!) but of course no ID-cards.
Another important reason to stay was the massive noisy applause the angels got from the people locked up in the boats. For sure it was heartwarming - it really touched the angels!
In the mean time they closed the fence of the parcing place (very stupid: they forgot angels can fly!). After several songs and some angel dances 'being locked up this way' attracted the attention of the angels. They walked slowly to the gate around 12.45 and then a miracle happened: they opened the gate and all police cars and vans drove away... Should it be because of the eternal light the angels were spreading?
It was a pitty: because a guided tour to the police station should be part of the visit of these heavenly creatures. Thanks God or Allah or Whatever there were more miracles happening. Around 13.00 it was absolutely great to take a look at the armada of boats coming to the waterside of the Zaandam Detention Centre.
And there was also a manifestation (starting 14.00) organised by Amnesty International near this prison for people without papers.
An inspiring day loaded with resistance ended with a last song:
"I'm dreaming of a Free New Year,
Just a year without the boats we know
Where all are included
and everyone could live -
where ever you want to go - ohh
I'm dreaming of a Free New Year
With every Christmas card i write
May your days be free and bright
And may all your cells be gone in a night

18 december is 'International Migrants Day': het juiste moment voor wat rebel engelen om voor even van de Hemel naar een van de lelijkste plekken op Aarde te migreren: de parkeerplaats voor de Zaandamse bajesboten...
Rond 12.00 uur kwamen de engelen aan. Het eerste was een grote banner laten zien met een hemelse boodschap: "We wensen je een vrij 2012"
Daarnaast stelden de engelen zich voor:
"We zijn Engelen zonder grenzen
We kwamen van ver om je te ontmoeten
We hebben een boodschap voor machtsgekke mensen:
Er zijn geen grenzen in de Hemel - er zouden geen grenzen moeten zijn op Aarde!"
Natuurlijk was de security geshockeerd bij het horen van deze heldere zinnen; zij verzochten om de parkeerplaats onmiddelijk te verlaten. Maar de engelen concentreerden zich op een van hun liedjes:

Toen arriveerde de politie en zij verzochten ook om te vertrekken (een, twee, drie keer) en toen gebeurde er niets - niet eens een ID-controle. Wat tussen haakjes geen enkele zin zou hebbenn omdat engelen fantastische ideeën hebben (een wereld zonder grenzen!) maar vanzelfsprekend géén ID-kaarten.
Ondertussen sloten ze het hek van de parkeerplaats (heel stom: ze vergaten dat engelen kunnen vliegen!). Na verschillende liedjes en wat engelendansjes trok het 'op deze manier opgesloten zijn' de aandacht van de engelen. Ze wandelden langzaam naar de poort rond 12.45 uur en toen gebeurde er een wonder: de poort werd geopend en alle politieauto's en busjes reden weg... Zou dat zijn vanwege het eeuwige licht dat de engelen aan het verspreiden waren?
Het was jammer: omdat een begeleide tour naar het politieburo deel zou moeten uitmaken van het bezoek van deze hemelse schepselen. God of Allah of Watdanookzij dank gebeurden er nog meer wonderen. Rond 13.00 uur was het echt geweldig om naar de armada van boten te kijken die aan de waterkant van het Detentiecentrum Zaandam aankwamen.
En dan was er ook nog een manifestatie (begonnen om 14.00 uur) georganiseerd door Amnesty International bij deze gevangenis voor mensen zonder papieren.
Een inspirerende dag gevuld met verzet eindigde met een laatste lied:

Verdwaald? De Drag Queen Olympics waren op het Leidseplein in Amsterdam.
Het verschil tussen drag queens op het Leidseplein en engelen bij de bajesboot is minstens even groot als tussen die NN'er die hierboven een 'mening' post en mensen die wat DOEN!
