De GroenFront! Gathering is het trefpunt van radicale eco-activisten uit België en Nederland. En aanstaande vrijdag (14 september) is het weer zover: het begin van een weekend vol praktische en theoretische workshops.

De Gathering is interessant voor ervaren eco-activisten, nieuwe activisten, mensen die graag met alternatieven bezig zijn en eigenlijk voor iedereen die zijn of haar steentje wil bijdragen aan het behoud van natuur en ecosystemen. We geloven dat we door zelf de touwtjes in handen te nemen via directe actie een verschil kunnen maken, in plaats van onze hoop vestigen op politici en bedrijven.

Het is een gathering waar je geen volledig verzorgd pension moet verwachtten, maar een leuke en gezellige bijeenkomst waar iedereen af en toe de handen uit de mouwen moet steken. Vele handen maken licht werk....

Dus kom ook twee dagen lang om van elkaar te leren, te discussiëren, mensen te ontmoeten, complotten te bekokstoven, te informeren en strategieën door te nemen, kampvuur te stoken en je te laten inspireren.

Hoe kom ik er?
Dit jaar zal de gathering gehouden worden op camping Thyencamp. (Laaghalerveen 23 in Hooghalen – Drenthe) Hoe kom in in Hooghalen? Fietsen vanaf station Assen (9km). Meer info over de camping en een routebeschrijving is te vinden op: www.thyencamp.nl.

Pendeldienst:
Wij zorgen voor een pendeldienst vanaf station Assen; verzamelen bij de hoofdingang aan de voorkant van het station. Het vervoer rijdt op de volgende tijdstippen:
- Vrijdag: 16:15, 18:15, 20:15, 22:15
- Zaterdag: 10:15, 12:15, 14:15, 16:15
- Zondag: 10:15, 12:15

Datum:
De Gathering vind plaats van vrijdag-avond 14 september 19:00 t/m zondag 16 september 18:00. Het programma begint op vrijdag-avond. Vrijdag zal er overdag nog druk opgebouwd worden en hierbij is hulp altijd erg welkom. Heb je tijd? Kom dan vrijdag vanaf 12 uur meehelpen!

Kosten:
10 euro. Met daarnaast een donatie (10 euro p.p.) voor het organiseren van de gathering (denk aan reiskostenvergoeding, logistiek, promotie, etc) zouden we uit de kosten moeten komen.

Eten:
Het eten wordt verzorgd door Kollektief Rampenplan. Zij verzorgen ontbijt, lunch en avondeten; allemaal biologisch en veganistisch. Het eten (ontbijt, lunch, avondeten en koffie/thee tussendoor) kost 7,50 euro voor een dag. Hiervoor koop je een bonnetje bij de keuken. Mocht je een voedsel-allergie hebben, geef die dan door, bij de keuken, of per email.

Slapen:
Mee nemen: Tent, slaapzak, matje. Er is plek voor tentjes op de camping. Er is een beperkt aantal slaapplaatsen in de bungalow. Deze plaatsen zijn bedoeld voor mensen die door omstandigheden niet kunnen kamperen. Als je gebruik wilt maken van een slaapplaats in de bungalow, neem dan van tevoren contact op met Vrienden van GroenFront! (vvgf@groenfront.nl). Deze slaapplaatsen kosten 5 euro extra voor het weekend (dus 15 ipv 10 euro).

Boeken/merchandise stands:
Tijdens de gathering zal de Groenfront/Wilde Aarde stand ook weer aanwezig zijn om boeken aan te bieden. Naast het grote aanbod van boeken zijn er ook verschillende pamfletten aanwezig; van directe actie handleidingen tot aan informatie over de nieuwste Groenfront! campagnes. Ook buttons, t-shirts en patches zijn te vinden op deze stand. Naast de GroenFront!/Wilde Aarde stand zal ook The Black Fish er met een stand komen staan.

Kinderen:
Er is een aparte tent voor kinderen. Ouders worden verzocht onderling voor opvang te zorgen.

Niet meenemen:
Honden, journalisten, nazi’s worden aan de poort geweigerd.

Frackoff, Britse anti-schaliegas actiegroep / Biodiversiteit / Veilig internet cursus/ actie tunnels/ leren lock-ons bouwen / Engelse huntsab activist / permacultuur/ klimaatwetenschap / Beehive Collective / Geschiedenis van eco-activisme in Nederland/ Gentech actie campagne / Black Fish / Hoe stop je een kolencentrale/ campagne aftrap; Saboteer de kolenlobby/ Schinveld / Saboteer de kolenlobby.

Zaterdagavond vanaf 21:30: Skype gesprek met en over Deep Green Resistance (www.deepgreenresistance.org) Met daarna een discussie erover. Het even controversiele als populaire nieuwe boek van Derrick Jensen, Lierre Keith en Aric Mcbay, maar vooral een nieuwe radicale milieubeweging uit de VS. Kan GroenFront! hier iets van leren?

Zondag: o.a. Hightech actiemethodes (Drones)/ cursus portofoons/gearresteerd, en dan? / deep ecology / campagne aftrap; GroenFront! Stop de Jacht campagne / de strategie van GroenFront! / schaliegas / campagne tegen Bruinkoolmijn RWE.

GroenFront! Summer Gathering (14 until 16 September): the latest info!

The GroenFront! Gathering is the venue for radical eco-activists from Belgium and the Netherlands. This Friday (September 14th) is the start of a weekend full of practical and theoretical workshops.

The gathering is interesting for experienced activists, new activists, people who are interested in alternatives, basically for everyone who likes to contribute too sustaining nature and the ecosystems. We believe that by taking control into our own hands through direct action we can make a difference, more than making ourselves dependent upon policymakers or industry.

The gathering is not an all-inclusive resort but a fun and interesting meeting where everybody has to help out every now and then. That’s why we are looking for people who are willing to volunteer, many hands make light work.

So come join us for two days of learning, discussions, meeting people, conspiring, informing, strategizing, campfires and getting inspired.

How do I get there?
This year’s gathering will be held at camping Thyencamp. (Laaghalerveen 23 in Hooghalen – Drenthe) More info about the campsite and directions can be found at: www.thyencamp.nl/en

Shuttle service:
We provide a shuttle service from Assen train station (at the main entrance at the front of the station) to the gathering. The van will be there at the following times:
- Friday: 16:15, 18:15, 20:15, 22:15
- Saturday: 10:15, 12:15, 14:15, 16:15
- Sunday: 10:15, 12:15

Date:
The Gathering will take place from Friday evening 14th of September at 19:00 until Sunday the 16th of September at 18:00. Friday during the day we will be busy building the facilities and help is always welcome. Do you have any spare time? Come help us Friday afternoon!

Costs:
10 euros for the campsite. To cover costs we will be asking for a donation for organizing the gathering (eg travel expenses, logistics, promotion, etc). A donation of 10 euro per person would cover our costs.

Food:
The food is provided by the mobile kitchen Rampenplan. They provide breakfast, lunch and dinner, all organic and vegan. The food (breakfast, lunch, dinner and coffee / tea in between) will cost 7.50 euros a day. You can buy a ticket at the kitchen for this. If you have a food allergy please tell the kitchen (or by sending an email to us before the gathering).

Sleeping:
Take along: Tent, sleeping bag, mat. There is space for tents at the campsite. There is a limited number of beds in the bungalow. These places are reserved for people who due to circumstances can not camp. If you want to use a bed in the bungalow, please contact us in advance at vvgf@groenfront.nl. These beds cost 5 euros extra for the weekend (so 15 instead of 10 euro).

Book/merchandise stall:
During the gathering, the GroenFront!/Wild Earth stall will be present to offer books. Besides the large selection of books, there are also several pamphlets available; from direct action guides to pamflet’s about the latest GroenFront! campaigns. Also, buttons, t-shirts and patches can be found at this stall. Besides GroenFront!/Wild Earth stall, The Black Fish will also be having a stall at the gathering.

Children:
There is a separate tent for children. Parents are asked to provide daycare amongst themselves.

Not to bring:
Dogs, journalists and nazis will be refused at the gate.
