On October 17, Anarchist Group Amsterdam is organizing a screening of the short documentary film Zsuv (Landslide), directed by Oleksiy Radynsky. The film is dedicated to Artur Snitkus, the performer and musician who was killed by russian forces on June 7, 2024, in the Donetsk region while carrying out a combat mission. Artur Snitkus was one of the most prominent figures in Ukraine’s queer scene.
The movie presents post-revolutionary Ukraine through a community of people “trying to build a new society” amid the cracks of a collapsing social system. The film is set in central Kyiv, in a space reclaimed by nature. A secretive team of graffiti artists, a group of tech geeks, and an avant-garde gay theater colletive are all striving to create a space where they can coexist, free from the pressures of a dysfunctional society.
We kindly ask those who wish to contribute to make a donation to the fund supporting Artur’s family.
Docu starts at 21:00 (duration is 30 min), the door will be open from 19:00 like every other library night on Thursday. People are free to stay till late to discuss or just hang out.
