19/05-12/06/17 : Stand Up With Standing Rock is a european solidarity tour with water defenders of Standing Rock fighting against the Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL). Rachel Heaton, Nataanii Means, Wašté Win Young and Rafael Gonzales, activists of the Standing Rock movement, will carry the voices of the water protectors to various parts of Europe : Paris, Brussels, the Netherlands, Bonn, Geneva, Bologna, Barcelona, Bilbao and Madrid. Check It De documentaire Check It volgt een straatbende van zwarte gay, queer en trans jongeren in Washington, die ooit ontstond uit een groep negenjarige kinderen die bij elkaar de bescherming vonden die ze zochten. In de groep kunnen ze fierce en fabulous zijn, en vinden ze een houding tegen de discriminatie en het geweld waar zij nog steeds op een dagelijkse basis aan blootgesteld worden.
